Race Report:
Great race.
We were lucky with a nice sunny weather.
For my 3rd attempt to the distance, I completed this race under 3 hours which was my objective.
This is quite an accomplishment since this is a PR by 40mn.
I trained quite hard for this marathon through Winter and Spring and I have been very focused on consistency and quality of my run work outs.
I ran with Will Kupper up to mile 23 and we paced a small group of runner wanting to hit 2:55. I felt very good all the way until mile 23, after which I slew down from 6:40 to 6:50 and 7:00. Will managed to keep the pace and finished 1 minute before me.
It was nice to see many FeXY and RATS people qualify too at this race. Our FeXY Teams also finished first for both the full and half marathon.
I highly recommend this race to whoever wants to qualify for Boston. And the beer at the finish is awesome! :)
