Due to a late start and a close location, you can drive from Northern Virginia to the race site the morning of the race.
The course starts with a one mile out and back along a road. The you do a 15 mile loop twice. It's a hilly course. None of the hills is very long, but the whole course is fairly rolling.
It's a good schwag race --- you get a hat and tee-shirt for starting, and some other wearable award for finishing.
