Race Report:
It was a nice day, but windy. The newest version of the course puts a couple significant hills in the first seven miles. The wind seemed to be blowing generally down river. The course is generally sheltered for the first 10 miles. That left a lot of miles at the end where runners had to fight the wind. There were a few miles where we could take advantage of a tailwind, but there were more miles that involved fighting a headwind.
I ran with a pack of 6-8 runners for the first half, but shortly after the halfway point, we broke up, and almost everyone finished individually.
