Race Report:
So I ran this exact race in November in 1 hr & 53 minutes. Today after 4 months of off season training, I beat my previous time by 10 minutes. I also ran my best 5K ever (25:57). Other than a real strong head wind on the bike course and some cramping during during the final 5K I may have achieved my goal of 1:40. Maybe next time. Great weather 48 degree & dry, just a strong wind.
Paced 19.6 MPH on the bike, 3/4 miles of the course is a 4% climb. I spent the rest of the course in the drops due to the strong head winds.
Smithfield Sprint Triathlon in 2 weeks.
