I love this race |
Race Report:
The weather was beautiful, I camped in the state park for the weekend. Everything went my way, no cramps, side stitchers or other complications. The ocean was calm and smooth, only one wave tumbled over me at the mid boya. Bike and run were flawless,as always I enjoyed the scenery of the Cinepuxent Bay, while crossing the Verrazano bridge back and forth. The running leg was in the campground, we were passing by the campers sites. Everybody was cheering us up. People were cooking their breakfast, it smelled like coffee, bacon and eggs everywhere.
It was a sheer poetry in motion. I absolutely love this race.
