Swallowed alot of ocean on the swim, then stuggled against the tide to to make it to shore.
Started out strong on the bike, then the winds (oh man, the WINDS) sucked the life out of me - 10 mph downhill with 45+ mph headwinds. Overly humbling.
So relieved to be off the bike and start running, then walked a couple miles on the Queen K so as to not jeopardizing being able to finish.
Finished with a fist pump, as usual, and life will never be the same.
Sorry for not writing more, its just that things still haven't set in - a year later - maybe they may never will. (feel free to email if anyone else is as fortunate as I was to win the lottery and I'll try to do a better job describing this experience).
