Race Report:
This sprint was the only tri I did in 2002, my first tri since 1993. My goal was to improve over my 2002 race, when I used a hybrid bike instead of my new road bike. Swim in 2002 was also much shorter due to fog. Unfortunately it was during this race that I experienced my first ever flat tire :(
I was in denial at first about the tire, then I tried to pump it up - finally I had to change it - which I'd really never done before. Knowing I was now not going to beat my time from 2002, I took 15 minutes to change the tire - and simply finished the race. In 2004 I plan to give it another shot for a Riverwatch "PR". Actually, I'd hope I can set PRs on all of the tris I do in 2004.
