Race Report:
I thought I'd try to push things a bit. While 10 minute miles are nothing to write home about, this was still my fastest showing yet this year.
My heart rate averaged 170 and peaked at 189. I only wish that for that level of exertion, I'd have faster times. Oh well.
Notes for future reference:
Events this large require much more time for pre-race logistics. It takes longer to get to the event and it was really hard to get to the porta-johns. In fact, I held it until mile 2. The johns at the water station were the most convenient but running for 2 miles really having to go is just no fun.
