This was a nice local Race starting from Reston Town Center and going onto the WoD trail.
It's more a family type event.
Many people signed up (more than 600 + about 150 the same day).
But because there was also a 1 mile walk, I supposed most of them did the walk.
Not sure about the actual results (time/number of people) as I could not find the race results. I suppose we were around 300 running and 450 walking...

- 1st mile: 5:58
- 2nd mile: 6:27
- Arrival (last 1.1 mile): 7:14
Total: 19:39
I ran pretty hard the 1st mile, being 3rd as I passed the 1st mile.
Then I controlled the race for the 2nd mile.
I caught up with the 2nd male.
Then I got passed by both a male and a female.
I was right behind them waiting for the last sprint.
In the lat 200m, I started sprinting and I passed both of them.
It was a great pleasure to pass them as I still had enough power for it.
First time I finish in the top 3.
The reason is probably that all the hardcore runners were probably doing another race/Tri on Sunday, which leaves some room for the regular (but not hardcore) runners like me :)
I will probably do it again next year.
