Comment: One nice hill at mile 2, but an enjoyable course.

Race Report:

Windy this a.m. - hard to keep warm! Wore three layers!

Nice, relatively small race. The hill I had heard so much about at around mile 2 was not at all up to its evil reputation - it is the long, gradual kind of hill that can be fun and enjoyable to run up if one is in the mood for a hill. I guess I was in the mood for a hill. I am not a fan of short, steep, hamstring-screaming moguls, btw.

I liked the course. It was not at all interesting, scenery wise (it was literally around Robinson), but it wasn't boring, either. Can't figure out what exactly I liked about it (maybe the hill?), but it is a course that I would definitely want to run again. I could definitely recommend this race to those who have not tried it for next year.

The long sleeve t-shirt came in handy afterwards, I must say. (Thanks to race directors who opt for long sleeves for fall and winter races.)
