Three favorite albums: Pink Floyd's The Wall, The Very Best of Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday's Greatest Hits. Also: BB King's Back in the Alley, Jimmy Cliff's The Harder They Come.
Favorite book: Anything well-written about Arctic or Antartic survival. Think Shackleton expeditions. Love that stuff.
Favorite movie: Das Boot. Really. (It's also my favorite "Christmas movie," along with Bad Santa.) Also, Henry V (Branagh) and District 9.
Chocolate: Dark.
Garlic: Yes.
Blue Cheese: Yes.
For breakfast, I usually have: Tea + water + food.
After a long day of training, my favorite meal is: Tea + water + food + chocolate.
What was I thinking when I signed up for my first race: My first race was a 5K. I was afraid to be last. I wasn't. I finished in the middle and I had fun.
Everything I need to know I learned from: My dad.
My deepest, darkest secret is: I really, really, really love throwing heavy objects, even if they don't go as far as I'd like. Y'know, weight pentathlon. Weight, hammer, shotput, discus, javelin. That stuff.
