Race Report:
Swam the Reston Masters workout before heading over to South Lakes. I like this course: it has a few hills in the middle and then flattens out for a good finish.
I'd hoped to hang onto Gary Grilliot for the race, but he dropped me like a sack of nickels as he chased after Mark Mollander. I settled into my pace, and felt pretty good until this kid came up behind me. I pushed it a bit, trying to drop him, but it was too much for me ... the kid went by and I finished about 5 seconds behind him. Turns out the kid was Lee Moser, Chuck's son. He had a smart race with a strong finish.
Anyway, it's always fun racing in your back yard!
