Gorgeous day for a run in the park! |
Race Report:
Perfect temperature, sunny skies, very nice trails.
First loop - too crowded. Had to pass a lot of people which was hairy at times given the single track you're on most the time.
Felt ok but really didn't feel like racing (probably the fact that I biked and swam the day before and had raced earlier in the week already).
High-fived the camera guys and thanked all the volunteers on the second 5 mile loops. I felt terrific for the finish, sprinted REALLY hard the last couple hundred yards and finished smiling. They had excellent post-race food which I enjoyed while watching others finished.
Strange; first race in a very long time that I didn't actually race. Sometimes that's exactly what I need though :)
