Race Report:
I have the greatest wife. Before I touch the water, take one pedal stroke on the bike, or one stride on the pavement, things at home need to be in order. I always give thanks to Deidre for her support, but it always seems to be the closing paragraph or sentence in my race reports, where in reality, it needs to come first. Without her, I would not have the opportunities to improve. Out on the course, I feel like I’m racing for all of us, not just me. While I spend the hours training, she’s spending those same hours taking care of Kyle (our 3 yr old son), all while carrying our second boy (*due August 16). It’s a team effort, and not wanting to let down the team becomes a driving force in keeping me going when times get tough.
