Race Report:
Wanted to start a New Years Eve tradition of racing before the festivities. I felt a little down from a cold that I picked up the day before. Did a 1.5 hour bike early in the day and a had a solid warm up.
Took the first mile out in 5:54 but faded after the first loop of the 1.5 mile course. I tried to maintain my effort for the next loop but continued to fade and hurt bad. At mile 2 I experienced some 'stomach issues' which slowed me down :( I crossed the line in 20:41 which was OK given my health and the bike ride before the race. I would have liked to go under 20 but am still satisfied with the result. A nice ending to 2007.
