I am mom of twin girls, two teenagers and an extremely spoiled dog. Hmmm that about covers it. Seriously, I began running in my early twenties as a stress relief in Grad School. It became a healthy addiction I would say. Exercise has always been a key to my sanity and a subset of my spirituality. The stress in my life last year led me to the pavement and one too many marathons. Rebounding from an injury, my physical therapist had me cross train. One foot in the pool and I knew my fate; I was bound to be a triathlete. I absolutely stink on the bike though. Give me some time and a some coaching...I'll be on my way. |

The chicklit reader in me says Jemima J by Jane Green or Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner. Classics....has to be Tolstoy and on the lighter side Austen. |

When Harry met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, The original Dirty Dancing...okay...I have issues.
I also enjoy historical (sort of) movies like Brave Heart, 300, Gladiator, Gettysburg, Saving Private Ryan etc... |

To be honest, I am so paranoid about GI issues, I end up guilting myself into the most bland meal ever. If I am not training for a specific event, I'll enjoy a nice meal with a really really good glass of Cabernet. If I am really throwing caution to the wind.. Rio Grande for chips/salsa. |
| My best triathlon advice is: |
Brick workouts are priceless. Always be comfortable in yor race attire. It is too long of a day thinking about what your butt looks like. Been there and done that! Seriously! |
| My best non-triathlon advice is: |
Live life to the fullest and never be afraid to try. Life is too short to have "What if's"! seriously!!! Oh...and never ever let a day go by without thanking someone for something. |
