What I do to pay the bills: Not enough (I'm retired U.S. Navy!)
Who defends the ranch when I'm out training: The Department of Defense, Fort Collins police and a dead-bolt lock. That's about it.
Short term triathlon goals: To do another one.
Long term triathlon goals: I've got all the medals and trophies that I want. I'm in this sport for fun now, and to launch a triathlon coaching career.

My best triathlon advice is: Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour in March.
My best non-triathlon advice is: Do not read this while operating aircraft or other fast-moving vehicles.
What was I thinking when I signed up for my first race: "At least the run will be easy."
